Censer and Fire Holder at Pir-e Sabz Shrine Renovated and Replated

The Sharifabad Zoroastrian Association of Ardakan has announced the renovation and replating of the censer and fire holder at the sacred Pir-e Sabz Shrine.

Last year, the fire holder located at the center of the shrine was restored and replated at a cost of 70,000,000 rials. Additionally, a stainless-steel oil container was constructed for the shrine, costing 65,000,000 rials.

This project was made possible through the coordination of Esfandiar Pashoutan Najmi and the efforts of youth from Qasemabad, Maryamabad, and Sharifabad. The contributions were dedicated to the memory of the late Shah Bahram Mozhgani, Homayoun Shah Bahram, Shahryar Ardeshir Mavandad, Ardeshir Mavandad, Gohar Soroush, Yadgar Mavandad, and Payandeh Lohrasb. Furthermore, a new censer, donated and coordinated by Mobed Homan Foruhari, was commissioned by the association and placed in the shrine.

Pir-e Sabz Chak Chak, a cherished pilgrimage site, is situated 68 kilometers northeast of Yazd Province, in the Kharanaq Mountains of Ardakan. Zoroastrians, following ancient traditions, gather at this sacred site annually from the 24th to the 28th of Khordad for communal prayers. Outside of these dates and Sizdah Bedar, the shrine is open to the public for visits.
