Deygan was celebrated for children at Sa’dabad complex

Deygan was celebrated on Friday 14 Dey 1403 (Jan 3, 2025) at Sa’dabad complex, organized by the Targeted Visit Planning Center of Sa’dabad Complex in collaboration with ICOM Iran. The event, aimed at preserving and celebrating ancient Iranian culture and traditions, was attended by children and their families.

Ahmad Mohit Tabatabai, president of ICOM Iran, and Seyed Mohsen Mir were among the speakers, while Fatemeh Rezaei, the designer and ideator of Iranian festivals, played a key role in organizing the Deygan celebration.

The program featured a range of activities, including setting up a traditional Deygan table, children’s recitations of Shahnameh and Hafez, making clay figurines, group games, writing wishes on a Deygan poster, and presenting gifts to those born in Dey.

Since the early 90s (2010), the Targeted Visit Planning Center for Children and Adolescents at Sa’dabad Complex has been dedicated to sharing the stories of Iran’s cultural heritage through programs tailored for children and adolescents, fostering awareness and appreciation of this heritage among the younger generation.
