The ceremony marking the death anniversary of Ashu Zartosht, the renowned Iranian messenger, was held at the Hasan Abad Fire Temple Hall in Meybod.
Taking place on the day of Khur Izad in the Zoroastrian calendar, which corresponds to 5 Dey in the modern Iranian calendar, the event began at 12:00 p.m. It featured Afarinegan recitations and a lecture by Khodayar Zandian in the Khodahram Dare Mehr Hall of Hasan Abad. At the conclusion of the ceremony, refreshments were served to the attendees.
The day of Khur Izad in the Zoroastrian calendar, which aligns with 5 Dey in the Iranian calendar, marks the anniversary of Ashu Zartosht Spitaman’s death. He was the Iranian messenger whose teachings and insights initiated the history of monotheism in the world. On this day, Ashu Zartosht and several of his companions were martyred by an invading tribe at the Bacteria fire temple.
