California Zoroastrian Center Welcomed Students from the World Religions Class

Students from the World Religions class in the United States visited the California Zoroastrian Center to gain firsthand knowledge of Zoroastrian customs and practices.

On December 5, 2024, the Los Angeles branch of the California Zoroastrian Center hosted 50 high school students from Chaminade as part of their World Religions class. The students were welcomed with rosewater and a mirror, symbols of joy and self-awareness, and were then guided through the center by Golnaz Manuchehrpour and Artimis Janvanshir. Ardeshir Bakhtiani, a member of the center’s management team, welcomed the group. Then, Mobedyar Armita Dalal recited a prayer, offering an explanation to the participants about the prayer and about the significance of fire in the Zoroastrian faith. Artimis Javanshir, from the Zoroastrian Center’s public relations committee, shared information on the core beliefs of Zoroastrians, their celebrations, and the community’s involvement in this center and across North America.

Kiwan Hour managed the audio, music, and visuals for the event. The California Zoroastrian Center expressed heartfelt thanks to all the individuals who made this event possible and emphasized their commitment to sharing Zoroastrian beliefs and heritage with other communities.
