Rayomand Goshtasbi claimed the gold medal in the Under-16 water polo competition at the Tehran Province Elite Talent Olympics.
The second rounds of the aquatic sports competitions, including water polo, took place from Saturday, 5 Aban to Monday, 7 Aban 1403 (October 27 to 29, 2024), over the course of two days.
The competition featured four teams: Northwest Region, Southwest Region, Shemiranat Aquatic Sports Federation, and Malard Aquatic Sports Federation, with a total of 52 athletes participating. The event was held at the 9 Dey International Pool in Tehran. Ultimately, the Nofallah team, supported by the Northwest Region and with Rayomand Goshtasbi as a member, secured first place. The Malard Aquatic Sports Federation took second, the Southwest Region came in third, and the Shemiranat Aquatic Sports Federation finished fourth.
Rayomand Goshtasbi, born on 8 Aban 1388 (October 30, 2009), is the son of Shirin and Kiwan Goshtasbi. He was introduced to sports at an early age, thanks to the encouragement of his family. Rayomand now trains for three hours each day at the Nofallah pool with his teammates, preparing for the national team selection competitions for athletes over 18.
