Saina Soltanipour won 2nd place in the 6th round of the Hun Kyokushin Karate Championship, held in Kerman. The competition, participated by 800 athletes from various provinces including Kerman, Zarand, Sirjan, Yazd, Tehran, Bandar Abbas, and Shiraz, was divided into two categories: kata and committee.
Soltanipour earned second place in kata and third place in the committee. In addition to her performances, she also served as a referee in the men’s division.
The championship took place on Thursday and Friday, Aban 10 and 11 (0ctober), in Kerman.
A dedicated practitioner of the Kyokushin style for nearly five years, Soltanipour has previously claimed two second-place finishes in committee events, a second-place finish in kata, and a gold medal in the Yazd province karate competitions.
The young Zoroastrian athlete, daughter of Mehri Pourbehmardian and Afshin Soltanipour, is currently studying painting in the 11th grade at the art school.
