“The princess of the garbage land” by Nasrin Khanjari, screening in Kerman

The play Princess of the Garbage Land, written by Zoroastrian artist Nasrin Khanjari, recently premiered at the Main Hall of the Kerman City Theater. Staged by the Darvag Group in collaboration with the Kerman Municipal Waste Management Organization, the production is a vibrant musical for children and teenagers featuring expressive choreography.

Directed by Mahdiyeh Fakharipour, the show opened on Mehr 19, 1403 (October 10, 2024) and will run until Aban 18 (November 8, 2024).

The story in short:  It is about a princess who lives in a palace overflowing with garbage, surrounded by her people and a loyal servant. She believes her city and palace to be the finest, but her perspective is challenged when a stranger arrives.

Nasrin Khanjari, a master’s student in drama and an experienced puppeteer, specializes in writing for children and adolescents.
