Shima Esfandiari’s Acting in “Caucasian Chalk Circle”

Shima Esfandiari, a Zoroastrian actress, plays a role in the play Caucasian Chalk Circle, directed by Amir Dezhakam. She performs alongside well-known actors such as Amir Karbalayizadeh, Rabeh Oskouie, Siavash Kheyrabi, Ali Rajabi, Ahmad Davoudi, Hamid Fallahi, and several young actors.

In an interview with an Amordad reporter, Shima Esfandiari shared her experiences and acting career. She entered the world of acting in 1391 (2012) and completed comprehensive acting courses at the Hillaj Institute, managed by Amir Shahab Razavian, and the Mahan Institute, led by Amir Dezhakam. Her first artistic endeavor was in the show Flight of Avant-Garde Cage. She then appeared in the TV series Darbandoun, directed by Hassan Lafafiyan, alongside Amir Hossein Rostami and Houman Barghnavard.

Esfandiari’s latest theatrical work is Caucasian Chalk Circle, written by Bertolt Brecht and translated by Simin Amirian. The play will be staged in the main hall of Shahr Theater from Aban 9 to Azar 14, under the direction of Amir Dezhakam. The performance has a duration of one hour and 45 minutes.
