Inspector of the Yazd Zoroastrian Association Elected

The second round of the annual general meeting of the Yazd Zoroastrian Association and the selection of the inspector was held in Bozorgchami Hall.

The Yazd Zoroastrian Association convened its 64th general assembly on Friday, Mehr 27, 1403, corresponding to Ordibehesht day of Mehr 3762 in the Zoroastrian calendar, at 16:00 in Bozorgchami Hall.

After the chairman of the board was appointed, the general assembly officially commenced. The co-chairpersons of the committee included Keykhosrow Rostami, Shahram Jiveh, Esfandiar Najmi, and Ardeshir Ardeshirpour.

Kourosh Rashidi, the head of the 64th round of the Yazd Zoroastrian Association, delivered the board of directors’ report during his speech. He discussed the reconstruction of Fravahar Children’s Park and the renovation of Mrs. Sohail’s endowment house for tourism purposes. Additionally, he highlighted Sohrab Behmardi of Kalantari’s request for the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity ranging from one and a half to five megawatts, proposed by the Yazd Zoroastrian Association.

Jamshid Behshad, the auditor for the 1402 financial year of the Yazd Zoroastrian Association, served as the speaker of the general assembly, where he presented a report on the activities and inspections conducted. He also highlighted key aspects of the income and expenses reflected in the balance sheet of the Yazd Zoroastrian Association and discussed the projects undertaken in the past year.

Following the report, voting took place for the positions of the main and substitute inspectors. Jamshid Behshad, Rostam Ezadi-Kalantari, and Kiarash Kermanian were nominated for the inspector role and introduced themselves to the audience. During the voting process, 98 out of 100 attendees cast their ballots. After the votes were counted, Jamshid Behshad was elected as the main inspector with 55 votes, while Rostam Izadi from the police station was elected as the alternate inspector with 33 votes.
