Behshid Barkhordar, the Zoroastrian representative in parliament, was elected as the parliamentary supervisor for the National Biosafety Committee. During the public session of the Islamic Council on Sunday, Amordad 21, 1403 (August 11, 2024), members of parliament selected Barkhordar for this role, with 104 votes in his favor. In addition to his new position, Barkhordar also serves as a member of the Parliament’s Agriculture, Water, Natural Resources and Environment Commission.
