In coordination with the Cultural Commission of the Zoroastrian Society of Tehran and with the support of the Executive Board of Great Adorian, a special recreational and sports picnic was held for Zoroastrian students at the Great Adorian Complex in Tehran.
According to the announcement by the Executive Board of Great Adorian, Tehran and reported by Amordad, this student picnic, supervised by Dadbeh Owangi, started on Thursday, June 26, at 8 AM. It began with a group prayer accompanied by the healthy lifestyle group and the chants of Mobedyar Sarvar Tarapourewala, along with the harmonious participation of Zoroastrian youth and adolescents in the lush outdoor space of Great Adorian. The students were then served breakfast including boiled eggs, cream cheese, tomatoes, jam, bread, and tea. Following that, under the supervision and support of the organizers, students engaged in group sports such as football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, frisbee, and group activities like tug-of-war, parachute games, and more on the grass fields and open areas of Adorian and in the hall of the complex. They also participated in indoor sports such as handball, table tennis, darts, and chess.
As reported by Amordad, midday meal including cake and sharbat was served to the attendees. Additionally, various group games and entertainment activities were designed for children and adolescents of different age groups under the supervision of the Kifan group, led by Behzad Behzadi, and with the assistance of Behnaz Bakhtiari, Pouria Pourdehghan, along with the support of Negar Bozorg-Chami, Mahsa Darabian, and Hoorshid Nikfam.
According to Amordad, special guests at this gathering included Afshin Namiraniyan, the president of the Zoroastrian Association of Tehran, and Behshid Barkhordar, a representative of Iranian Zoroastrians, along with several members of the association and the executive board of Great Adorian.
Following this, attendees enjoyed a warm lunch of Zereshk Polo (barberries rice with chicken), prepared with the help of parents and colleagues under the supervision of Soroush Namiri. Assisting were Peymaneh Kavousi, Khodarahm Shahriarpour, Atousa Khoramshahi, Farshid Nikfam, Parvaneh Khoramshahi, Vafadar Noushiravani, and Daryush Mobed in the kitchen of fire temple, and delivered to Great Adorian.
Later, a lively gathering for the youth was organized by Sepehr Goshtasbi in the hall of Great Adorian, where attendees enjoyed watermelon in the afternoon. The student event concluded at 4:00 PM with a group photo session, followed by cocoa chocolate treats provided by Behshid Barkhordar, the representative of Iranian Zoroastrians, for all the children.
