Dr. Katayoun Namiranian, a scholar of ancient Iranian culture and languages, one of the researchers and writers on Zoroastrian religion and culture, is an assistant professor in the Department of Foreign Languages and Linguistics of the Faculty of Literature and humanities, Shiraz University.

With reference to the minutes of the meeting dated Aban 25, 1401 (November 16, 2022) of the Board of Directors of the Iranology Society regarding the approval of the establishment of branches of Iranology, as well as the proposal dated Tir 3, 1401 (June 24, 2022) of Dr. Mahmoud Rezaei Dasht Arjaneh, and considering your experience and in-depth knowledge on the topics of ancient Iranian culture and languages, you are hereby appointed as director of the “Culture and Iranian studies” working group of the Fars branch of the Iranological Society in 1402 (2023). It is hoped that, with your valuable efforts and in cooperation with other Iranology professors, you will succeed in advancing the cultural heritage of Fars province and introducing it to the youth of this region.
