Pantone’s color of the year has been announced since 2000. This institute hosts representatives of color standards groups from different countries twice a year in the capitals of European countries. These meetings are held privately in a room with pure white walls and furniture, so there is no color to suggest an idea. Then each of these experts introduces objects that have inspiring colors. After the discussions, a color is chosen as the following year’s color and announced by the Pantone Institute.
