Village governors of Hormozgan province visited Mazra-e Kalantar village

The village governors of Hormozgan province visited the religious and cultural centers of Zoroastrians in the village of Mazra-e Kalantar.

Village governor is the most important and newest institution in charge of rural management, in Iran. Village governing institution in the village is equal to municipal institution in the cities. The village council elects the village governor for a period of four years. Unlike the municipality, which has a history of activity in Iran for a century, village governor position was established in 1375 (1996). The late Dowlat Samia Kalantari was the first lady village governor in Iran; a lady who worked hard to promote the face of Mazra-e Kalantar village. Currently, Rostam Nowdini is the village governor of Mazra-e Kalantar.
