Arshtat Izad and Azar Mah ceremony was held in Grand Adorian, Tehran, in coordination with executive board of Grand Adorian and with participation of a number of Zoroastrians.
On the morning of Sunday, Azar 20, 1401, several Zoroastrians were present in the great Adorian of Tehran to honor Arshtat Izad. The program started with Gathas recitation by Negar Bozorgchami, followed by group prayer performed by Shahnaz Pashutanizadeh, for the well-being of all Zoroastrians. An interview followed with Negar Bozorgchami, Doctor of Pharmacy from Shahid Beheshti University, on the subject of “overweight and obesity”, its definition and types, reasons and causes of occurrence in different people, how to diagnose and symptoms of the disease, methods of treatment, diet and proper nutrition for obese people,” which was followed by various questions and answers.
Mehrangiz Zahabi gave a short speech on Chelleh night ceremony and its traditions, and then read poems from Hafez. The participants were entertained with chelleh nuts. Beautiful, knitted pieces on the occasion of Chelleh night, prepared by Adokht Behmardi, were presented to the participants. The ceremony continued with the performance of traditional songs by Shahin Shirmardi, accompanied by “arbuneh”. Tea and cookies served to the participants (offered by Afsaneh Foroudi) ended the ceremony.
