Renovation of Kasnavieh archway, and installing a stone inscription on the head of the water reservoir

The historical structure of the archway of the Zoroastrian village, Kasnavieh, was repaired and restored, and also a stone inscription was fixed on the entrance of the reservoir.

The repair of the archway of Kasnavieh, including restoration of the roof, strengthening the inner part of the archway and adding a layer of plaster and sand on the inside of the archway and on the top; and also installation of stone inscription on the top of the entrance of the reservoir with the name, “Rashid Mehraban” was carried out under supervision of the cultural heritage organization and donation of Jahanbakhsh Kolahdooz, being the nephew of Rashid Mehraban.  Construction of Rashid Mehraban reservoir goes back to the Pahlavi period. The reservoir was built by Mehraban Rashid MehrHendu in the name of his father, Rashid Mehraban, in 1345. This historical monument has been registered in the list of national works of Iran. According to the inhabitants of Kasnavieh, the archway dates back to the Qajar period.
