After two and a half years have passed since the start of the Corona epidemic, this year, the Zoroastrian Cultural Center of Ontario revived the memories of Pire Sabz pilgrimage season by organizing a pic-nic in the Phyllis Rawlinson Park in Richmond Hill, Toronto, on Sunday, June 19, 2022. Zoroastrians of Toronto went on a group hiking in nature, in memory of climbing the Pire Sabz stairs, recited the Hamazour prayers and sang the famous song; “Pire Sabze Chak Chaku”; and by eating sirog and pashmak and then playing volleyball and other games honored the memories of Pire Sabz.
Zoroastrians gather in Pire Sabz annually from 24 to 28 Khordad (13-18 June) and perform the religious ceremonies. The Zoroastrian Association of Sharifabad, Ardakan, Yazd, is the keeper of this shrine.
