Shah Jahan Dehmobed, a former member of the board of directors of the Tehran Zoroastrian Association and an activist in the community, passed away.
Shah Jahan Dehmobed passed away on Azar Izad day of the year 3760 Zoroastrian calendar, Sunday, Khordad 7, 1401 solar, due to heart failure.
A funeral ceremony for the late Shah Jahan Dehmobed was held at 3 pm, on 7th Khordad 1401, in the Zoroastrian cemetery of tehran.In a few cycles of the Zoroastrian Association’s board membership, he worked as a board member and for a period of time as a treasurer, to advance the goals of the community. Shah Jahan was son of Golbanoo and Jahanbakhsh, born in 1310, in Tehran. After completing his education he worked in a bank and was head of Bank Mellat branch for some time. After retiring, he helped establish the Shah Jahan Dehmobed charitable foundation where he extended marriage loans, student loans, medical treatment loans, and house renovation loans, to community members. He also arranged festivals on various occasions with the intention of gathering the Zoroastrian youth to help them get acquainted with each other. He was one of the charitable donors of the Zoroastrian Association of Ahrestan.
His wife is Golchehreh Kooshesh, and their only child is named Azita.
