The celebration of the 40th anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr was held by Amordad weekly in collaboration with the House of Humanities Scholars on the 3rd of Khordad 1401 in the Ferdowsi Hall of the House of Scholars.
Homa Arjangi, a patriotic poet, started the programs for celebrating the liberation of Khorramshahr, by reciting two beautiful poems for our country, Iran.
Next was broadcast of a video of rangers, in memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the liberation of Khorramshahr, which provoked excitement among the audience.
Masoud Jafari Jozani, filmmaker and a famous TV and movie director; Ali Forootan, a prominent television actor; and Mahmoud Shahriari, a powerful TV host, each gave short speeches and recounted their memories of the imposed war.
Kheikhosrow Dehghani, an outstanding Shahnameh researcher and narrator, recited parts of the Shahnameh together with Ms bakhtiari. Farzin taheri, a young artist in the theatre sector, performed a play named “Arash”.
At the end of the program, Capt. Soleiman Mahboubi, one of the commanders of the Navy and a special guest on the 40th anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr, brought to life memories of the unforgettable days of Khorramshahr’s liberation of Khorramshahr and the memory of all veterans and freedmen.
Babak Salamati, managing director and editor-in-chief of Amordad weekly, commemorated the 40th anniversary of Khorramshahr’s liberation, and in part of his speech about the tragic event of Metropolis Abadan, requested the audience to stand up for one minute silence in respect of the bereaved families, It is worth noting that the audience also empathized with families of the Metropolis victims.
It is to be mentioned that Captain Houshang Samadi, one of the commanders of the naval commandos who could not attend the celebration due to the tight schedule, visited Amordad’s office a few days ago, and a video of his speech was provided which was broadcast to the audience.
Furthermore, Mojtaba Mirdeghan, one of the officials of the Ministry of Guidance in the affairs of minorities, was also present at the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr.
