The second round of the General Assembly of the Zoroastrian Association of Kerman was held

The second round of the annual general assembly of the Zoroastrian Association of Kerman was held on Thursday, May 19, in the Rostam Kermani Hall of the Kerman Zoroastrian Fire Temple, with the presence of the association members, the governor’s representative, and quite a number of Kerman Zoroastrians.

The general assembly started its session at 5 pm.  First, the members of the board of directors and board of supervisors of the election of the 23rd cycle were elected, as follows:

Board of Directors: Ms. Soltanatabadi, Dariush Rostami, Farrokh Izadi, Farnam Dolatzadeh and Manouchehr Goshtasbi.

Supervisory Board: Arash Ziatabari, Farshid Dolatzadeh, Siavash Izdiar, Esfandiar Nozari, and Nasrin Farhadi.

Sirous Nikbakhsh, director of the Zoroastrian Association of Kerman, indulged in a friendly talk with community members. The main point that he stressed on was that community members should more actively participate, especially in general assemblies, because in these meetings usually decisions are made about sale of property and land. The more the participants the better the decisions. His request was that more participants come to these meetings, especially the youth, so that those with management skills are selected and the community doesn’t go towards indifference. Indifference results in defeat and oblivion.

Then Mehrdad Peyman and Farzad Nikdin talked about the financial report of the association and the work done. During this period, the roofs of Iranshahr and Kaykhosrow Shahrokh schools were reconstructed and repaired. Iranshahr school hall has also been refurbished. In the end, the participants were served tea and cake.
