Taft and Environs Zoroastrian Association (based in Tehran) held the first gahanbar of the year virtually. The Maidyozarem Gahambar (mid-spring) ceremony was held in July and May of the Zoroastrian calendar, equal to Monday, 2 May 2022, at 5:00 PM in Narges’s house Mobed Farzad Lohrasbi performed the prayers in the name of “all souls” (hamaravanan).

Maidyozarem gahanbar is the first gahanbar of the year, and according to Zoroastrian beliefs, it is the time when the skies were created. The dates for this chahreh of gahanbar in the official calendar are 10-14 May.
